On a not so fun note, Kiley went from sleeping through the night to waking up every 2-3 hours again, and Mommy is exhausted! I'm not really sure what happened, if she is going through a growth spurt and therefore gets hungrier sooner, or maybe she is starting to teeth because she is all of a sudden drooling more too, but I can't feel anything in her mouth. I was hoping it was just because she was sick last week (and on top of being sick she had to get her vaccinations), but she seems fine now and still has this horrible sleeping pattern. Hopefully we can all get some sleep here soon, Chad and I both caught the cold Kiley had and we could really use the sleep to get rid of it!
We had a wonderful First Halloween with Kiley last night. The weather was perfect and we went to a local corn maze that they made haunted for Halloween with Jenna, Mark and the kids. Of course Kiley didn't really know what was going on, but it was great to see the older kids reactions. Mackenzie wasn't scared at all and in fact chased the scary people through the maze. Luke was trying to be brave like his sister but mostly let Kenz do all the chasing, and Logan was pretty scared until the scary people took off their masks. We then went back to their house and ate dinner with Grandma and Grandpa McVicars. Then it was costume time. Mackenzie was a scary skull monster, Luke was a Muscle man, Logan was a mummy and Kiley was a giraffe. A sleepy giraffe. In fact she was asleep before we even did costumes but woke up to see Gigi and Great Grandpa.
I knew she would pretty much sleep through trick-or-treating so I took some Halloween pictures of her while she was awake to give to everyone.
She was obviously the cutest giraffe ever: ) And I was impressed when we were playing photo shoot, how good she was doing with holding her head steady! She amazes me everyday.
Ah! Soooo cute! Branson was a giraffe too. Perhaps they are destined to be friends with their giraffness and big blue eyes :)
