It happened. At just 3.5 weeks before my due date I noticed some pink lines starting to appear just above my hips on both of my sides. I thought maybe they were scratch marks as I have been extra itchy around those areas too, but I took a good look today and I don't think they are going away...EVER. It would make sense that I would feel itchy if my skin has decided it's over stretching, and it's time to start making me pay. So it goes. I thought I was going to get away with just the linea nigra that showed up right around the four month mark, but goes away after pregnancy, I'm just not that lucky. They aren't that noticable yet and at least I only have a few weeks left so they can't get too big.
Another new development in the last week is swollen feet. I really don't stand much throughout a normal work day but I can sure tell by the end of the day if I should have put on my sandals, especially now that it is getting hot. The heat causes swelling anyways so the swelling from standing is even more uncomfortable. Luckily, just at the right time, I found this peppermint foot cream while on a family vacation in Wallowa lake, Oregon this last weekend. It is so silky and the peppermint has a cooling sensation which feels so good on hot swollen feet. I presented it as a gift to Chad but still haven't gotten him to use it yet: )
It's hard to believe it is officially July. WE'RE HAVING A BABY THIS MONTH (hopefully)! We are getting really excited and are officially grounded until baby gets here. Just in case she decides to make an early appearance we are not leaving town. Good in a way that it will give us time to finish the baby's room and some small house projects before she gets here, but bad that during these last 3 weeks there are 3 weddings that we really wanted to be at! C'est la vie. Life is unplanned and I wouldn't want to live it any other way!
