It's been a fun filled week at the McVicars household. Work has been so crazy busy that Kiley had to be our extra salesperson at the granite shop yesterday. Everyone wants their kitchens done before the holidays (I don't blame them but c'mon, we need a little more than a week to bring in your stone, template it, fabricate it, and install it...we do have other clients too). Luckily Kiley is a great salesperson, the customers love her ; )
Definitely not a great week for Chad to get a bad case of conjunctivitis. He started complaining a little that is eye was bugging him last Thursday, on Friday it was mildly pink, and then on Saturday morning BAM! He rolled over and it took everything in me not to gasp out loud (actually I may have gasped, but that's better than a scream). Instead of "Good Morning" our first words were:
"(Gasp) How's your eye feeling?"
"'Bout the same as yesterday why?"
"You sure? Cause I'm pretty sure you can't even see out of it when it's swollen shut."
He immediately pulls a "Classic Chad" move and hops on google to find the internet diagnosis.
The internet diagnosis was pink eye. The non-contagious kind. Sounds official huh? We got some homeopathic drops and figured we would wait it out since Dr. Google said it would go away on its own.
Never trust Dr. Google.
Every day it has gotten more and more swollen and red and finally he went to the real eye doctor today who wants to load him up with anit-biotics and put him on a strict regimin of cleaning and medicine every 15 minutes! Poor guy.
On a good note, Kiley had her 4 month appointment on Friday and again she got another A+. She officially weighs 13 lbs 6 oz. (46%) she her head is (87%) and she is 26.5 in long (99%)! She got the "go ahead" to start trying rice cereal and stage 1 foods, which has been so much fun. She is already figuring out how to swallow and the faces she makes are priceless. She looks at us like we are crazy for putting something in her mouth like "what am I supposed to do with this?" This weekend I made her some banana mush and she loved it.
On an even better note, I love days that have so much baby excitement. Today a friend delivered her 3rd baby, her first girl. I am so excited for her and excited for Kiley to have a little playmate! Also, my good friend Sarah is finding out what she is having. Sarah is one of my best friends from high school and it's crazy to think we are both having babies. Hopefully for our sake, they are better kids than we were to our parents; )
